Center Programs Coordinator

Deborah Day combines her professional experience in academia, science education, community engagement, and research in her role as Programs Coordinator at the Wu Tsai Institute, within the Center for Neurocognition and Behavior. She received her BA with a double major in Biology and Chemistry from Elms College and her MS in Chemistry from Southern Connecticut State University and has taught all levels of chemistry; developed and directed the pre-college Amity Science Research Program; was the STEAM Outreach Coordinator at Smith College and former chairperson for the Western Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair. Day is a longtime endurance athlete who enjoys distance running, triathlons, and various outdoor activities with her husband, Carl. She also enjoys creative crochet projects and spending time with family, friends, and her feline companion, Hazel.
